Fall in Sonoma County

I do really need to get outside more and enjoy the beautiful scenery before it becomes rainy season. It did rain a couple of time last week, but today was sunny and warm. It is suposed to be in the low 80's all week. I had no idea it would be so warm so late. I almost feel like I am still down in Southern California. The warm dry winds are almost Santa Anna like. On the way to Rohnert park I noticed several beautiful trees just behind the Petaluma Adobe. I had never stopped there before and found a delightful little park with picnic benches and rows of wonderful trees in alll the shades of fall. There were several people out taking pictures and enjoying the nice day.

My 1st blog, my 1st entry

This is my 1st ever attempt at blogging. One of the 1st things I wanted to do is learn how to post a slide show to my blog. This is turning out to be not so easy. I tried on flickr but was not able to get them to show up as a slide show, just a film strip. I finally found some helpful techie blogs that gave me the code but then I had to find out my flickr ID. Once again no easy feat. After playing with everything I think I finally got it figured out. Let me know what you think. The following slide show is of photos taken on the Saturday of Fleet week October 4th 2007 in San Francisco. These pictures where taken from my friend Chris's boat as we sailed under the Golden Gate Bridge. I think they turned out quite well. Although I will have to learn how to add captions or titles. If you double click on the slide show, then hover your curser above the show you can see the contols to speed up the show.
